Joseph Dichiacchio

Managing Member / Founder Riva Run Capital, LLC

Mr. Dichiacchio is founder of Riva Run Capital LLC in 2014 and presently an advisory board member of Alternative Capital Advisers. He began his career in the securities industry in July 1977 after graduating from Northeastern University with a B.S. Degree. Joe worked at Merrill Lynch, Oppenheimer, was managing director at Credit Suisse First Boston and Alliance Bernstein global sales trading. He was managing director at Jones Trading where he ran the New York office.

Michael Novick

Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Novick has a 20 year career in the financial markets that spanned roles in portfolio management, trading, and risk analysis. Prior to ACA, Mr. Novick worked as a US equity sales trader for Weeden & Co. out of their San Francisco office covering both hedge funds and mutual funds. From 1999-2003 Mr. Novick worked for a family office in Scottsdale, AZ as well as US $300 million hedge fund Petros Capital as both an equity trader and portfolio manager. In 1997 – 1999, Mr. Novick worked at Natsource Inc. on a weather derivative desk pioneering the brokerage of various weather derivatives products. This included working with various global energy companies, global insurance and reinsurance companies, with a focus on hedging various weather related risks. Before Natsource he worked for Lehman Brothers in New York in several capacities on various fixed income desks including US Treasuries, US Treasury and mortgage backed options. Mr. Novick began his career as a Bank Examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, analyzing and examining FRBNY member banks.

Mr. Novick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Philosophy, as well as a minor in legal studies and the environment from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.

James Kim

Senior Research Analyst

Mr. Kim joined Alternative Capital Advisers in 2016 as a Senior Research Analyst. His experience covers investment banking, hedge funds, private
equity and equity long short investments. Prior to joining Alternative Capital Advisers, he served as a senior research analyst at
Terrapin Asset Management, an alternative investment firm with a multi‐strategy fund of funds, hedge funds, advisory and private
equity business. During his time at Terrapin, Mr. Kim served as a member of allocation committee and performed investment due
diligence to select managers in variety of strategies including equity long/short, event driven, global macro, multi‐strategy, distressed
and credit. He assisted in due diligence process to acquire Hennessee Group and Insana Capital Legends Fund, and was seeded to co-manage
a mid‐capitalization focused, long‐only and long/short equity funds. Prior to joining Terrapin, Mr. Kim was an investment
banking analyst at Chardan Capital Markets, where he worked on the investment banking team involved in mergers and acquisitions,
initial public offerings (IPO), and special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) deals in both US and China. Mr. Kim started his career
within Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking, Corporate Finance Division.

Mr. Kim graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers Business School with Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Sociology. He is a
member of Beta Gamma Sigma and a CAIA charterholder.

Andrew Van Ogtrop

Director of Business Development

Mr. Van Ogtrop has close to 20 years of financial services experience in capital raising, institutional sales and relationship management.  Prior to joining ACA, Andrew was the Executive Vice President and Head of Investor Relations for Gameface Media, the largest provider of free sporting event photos in the United States.  At GFM, he successfully raised capital for both the Series A and Series B rounds.  Andrew’s previous experience includes 15 years of institutional sales coverage as a Managing Director covering Hedge Funds and Mutual funds across the country for Investment Technology Group, Weeden & Co. and Detwiler & Co.  He started his career on Wall Street in Investment Management with roles in marketing and customer service for Davis Selected Advisors.

Andrew attended Washington College in Chesterotwn, MD where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, as well as a minor in Philosophy and played Varsity lacrosse for four years.

Andrew Formato

President and Executive Managing Director of Business Development at Weeden & Co.

Mr. Formato is President and Executive Managing Director of Business Development at Weeden & Co. Mr. Formato began his career in the Securities Industry in 1992, after having graduated from Trinity College with a BA in History.

He worked in various capacities within Institutional sales at Smith Barney, S.C. Bernstein, and then CIBC World Markets, where he was one of the top producers covering Institutional accounts in the firm, before joining Weeden in 2003. Mr. Formato also serves on Weeden & Co.’s Executive Management Committee and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2010. Mr. Formato also serves on the board of Pragma Securities LLC and Weeden Prime Services.

John McNiff

Mr. McNiff is chairman of Discovery Capital Management, a multi strategy hedge fund based in New York City.  In 1993, Mr. McNiff co-founded Longwood Investment Advisors, Inc., and served as President from 1993 until 2005.  In 1991, Mr. McNiff co-founded Radnor Holdings Corporation, a diversified chemical manufacturer.  Mr. McNiff was an associate at the law firm of Davis Polk and Wardwell.  He has served on the boards of Steel Partners Holdings (NYSE), Colonial Penn Insurance Company, Lincoln Mortgage Company, Chartwell Investment Partners, Radnor Holdings Corporation, Insurance Capital Management, Cooke and Bieler,  Winston Partners and Alliance Healthcare.  John was the head of the Board of Trustees of Chestnut Hill Academy. He holds a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.

David “Jay” Morton

Founder Morton Wealth Advisors

Mr. Morton has 23 years of experience in the asset management business. Since 1992 he has been involved in the management of assets for individuals and corporations and in capital raising activities for businesses. He began his career at Smith Barney in Boston, MA, and he has served on the Advisory Council to The Private Client Group at Legg Mason as well as Wachovia’s Chairman’s Council.

Mr. Morton founded Morton Financial in 2004 and Morton Wealth Advisors in 2007. The principals of MWA have created investment products, online research tools and quantitative models used by investment professionals and portfolio managers of Mutual Funds, SMA’s, UMA’s and Hedge Funds over the years.

Mr. Morton is an owner of Emerald Fund of Funds, LLC (“Emerald”). Emerald participates in net revenue from, and has certain financial responsibilities to, Crow Point Partners, LLC (“Crow Point”). Mr. Morton is majority owner of ES Capital Advisors, LLC, a registered investment advisor. The company builds quantitative investment strategies that seek to protect client’s assets from downside volatility.

As an entrepreneur, Mr. Morton founded, invested in, and consults to a number of start-up companies. He created several online businesses including but not exclusive to: FusionIQ, a financial technology firm; INgage Hub, LLC, a technology company that provides cloud based software that allows you to transform your marketing content into an active engagement opportunity; GO211, one of the largest online action sports websites in the world; One Roof Realty, a full-service online realty website; 529insight.com, a web portal to help educate investors to create 529 college savings plans for their children. Mr. Morton enjoys the startup process, and as an investor almost exclusively invests at the incubation stage. Mr. Morton graduated Cum Laude from Bowdoin College in 1992.

Christopher LaGrego

Founder

Mr. LaGrego is currently a Managing Director and registered representative of Weeden Prime. Mr. LaGrego has over 15 years of experience in trading, prime brokerage and institutional sales.

After graduating from the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in 1989 with BA Degree in Finance, Mr. LaGrego worked at Ladenburg Thalmann, eventually serving as Senior Vice President and Head Trader. Subsequently, Mr. LaGrego co-founded the market-making desk and the institutional sales desk at the Carlin Financial Group. After Carlin Financial Group, Mr. LaGrego later joined Lighthouse as a Managing Partner and Head of Trading. Prior to joining Weeden Prime, Mr. LaGrego was a partner at Concept Capital Markets, LLC where he served a Managing Director. Mr. LaGrego holds Series 7, 24, 55 and 63 licenses.
